Immune escape of Circulating Tumor Cells mediated by tumor derived molecules
Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) are regarded as the important source of tumor recurrence and metastasis. One mechanism for CTCs to be able to survive is escaping from the immune surveillance. Tumor cells including CTCs can produce many kinds of molecules to influence the immune effector cells. These molecules include membrane proteins, cytokines, microRNAs, and so on. In this review, I will mainly focus on roles of these molecules in immune escape, and their transportation form will also be mentioned.
